Recipe 24 | Week 24: Oven Bacon

Okay… who has known about cooking bacon in the oven their whole life? What about your adult life? Well… of my 30 years on this earth, I have NEVER seen a person cook bacon in the oven until we visited with friends a few weeks ago… and while the entire party was sipping on different varities of scotch… bacon was baking. That’s a technical term, by the way. Bacon was infact, BAKING!
You can do that?
What?!
This is a life changer, real deal.
I don’t like splatter- but I do like crispy bacon {not burnt, big different}- everyone wins here ya’ll. EVERYONE!

So… here it is in all it’s glory. Baking Bacon.

Oven Bacon

Cook time: 10-20 minutes
Total time: ~25 minutes
Serves: 5-10 people, depending on your love for bacon

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400’F.
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper/aluminum foil.

-So incredibly easy and delicious!
-You can add all sorts of awesome to the bacon before you cook it: maple syrup, fresh cracked pepper, a little hint of garlic powder, brown-sugar.. options are endless.

…be real with me, did you know about this baking the bacon?! Did you?!? I feel like I’ve been missing out on so much now, all the effort to clean up that splatter and that oil… and here’s it’s been so easy all along.

Here’s to finding a better way, but still getting the delicious bacon smell all through the house!
